Naruto Shippuden Toys from Toynami

Toynami has announced their plans to bring action figures for the popular manga “Naruto Shippuden” to North America. Here is a run down on what is planned:
Ninjutsu 4″ Series There will be two waves of 4″ boxed trading figures. Series 1 characters have a base for each, and will include Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, Gaara, and Itachi. Series 1 arrives in April. Series 2 figures show an environmental base (see photo), and characters will include Naruto, Sasuke, Sai, Sasori, and Deidara. Series 2 arrives in April. These will retail for less than $6 each.
Naruto Basic Figures Series A line of small trading figures will be released. Series 1 arrives in May and will include Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, Neji, Rock Lee, Gaara, Itachi, and Kisame. Series 2 arrives in June and will have Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, Shikamaru, Temari, Kankurou, Sasuke, and Deidara. These will retail for less than $5 each.
Naruto 6″ Figures Series Three assortments of 6″ figures are planned. Series 1 arrives in July and will include Naruto and Deidara. Series 2 will arrive in Oct and includes Kakashi and Gaara. Series 3 comes in December and will have Sasuke and Itachi. These will retail for about $12.

Kamen Rider Toys for 2009 Coming Soon

Bandai America is coming through on their promise to bring Kamen Rider toys to North America. The first of the toys should arrive on store shelves in late April or May 2009. Here is a rundown of what is on tap:
Kaman Rider 4″ Figures Most of these will arrive in May include Dragon Knight, Wing Knight, Incisor, Torque, Camo, Blank Knight, Sting (August), and Strike (August). Retailing for about $8.
Kamen Rider Deluxe Figures More better: Drageder with Kit Taylor, Blackwing with Len, Magnugiga with Torque (arriving in May), and Venosnaker with Strike (arriving in August). About $11.
Action Rider Figures Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, and Wing Knight. Arriving in June, about $14.
Deluxe Rider Sets Blank Knight with Advent Cycle, Dragon Knight with Dragon Cycle, and Wing Knight with Wing Cycle. All arriving in May. About $14.
Dual Bike and Rider Set Dragon Cycle/Dragon Knight and Wing Cycle/Wing Knight. Arriving in June. About $26.
Kamen Rider DX Weapons Dragon Knight Dragvisor, Kamen Rider Advent Ball. Arriving by May. About $15.
Transformation Set Arriving by June. About $30.

Tech Deck Handboards for 2009 HD First Look!

Here’s an early look at the first Tech Deck handboards by Spin Master. It’s been a couple of years since new Handboards were available. Watch and see if I can fit the trucks and wheels from an old X-Concepts board on this one. These will be available Spring 2009.

Sonic and the Black Knight Toys

Toymaker Jazzwares has big plans for Sonic this year. We will see a line of basic “Sonic the Hedgehog” action figures as a ToysRUs exclusive. Later we will see toys from the popular games “Sonic and the Black Knight” and “Sonic Unleashed”. Sonic Unleashed will feature “Sonic the Werewolf”. Jazwares also plans to release a line of SD or Urban Vinyl Sonic figures. More pics here.

Selena Gomez Dolls

Toymaker Mattel will release a line of Selena Gomez dolls in 2009. The dolls and other toys will be modeled after her hit Disney Channel show “The Wizards of Waverly Place”. Several other toymakers have weighed in on products for Wizards of Waverly Place. More pics here.
